Q. Do you belong to a particular church or denomination?
A. No. Storyweavers Global is a non-denominational mission organization that serves local churches, denominations and other missions, by strengthening them in vision and capacity for the four areas of training that we offer —discipleship, evangelism, healthy spirituality, and addiction recovery. Here is our Statement of Faith.
Q. Why do you not list all the specific countries and languages where you serve?
A. Some of areas of the world where we and our Training Partners serve are unfriendly to, or intolerant of, people who are living out biblical faith, so to avoid unnecessary distractions, we do not list every place where we assist Christ-followers.
Q. What do you mean by "storyweaving is exploratory"?
A. It is very common for Christians to use pre-determined, one-size-fits-all presentations to share their faith. However, we have come to realize that in today's world, a very much needed approach is to pursue conversation in a manner that is a thoughful process of Scripture-centered discovery which meaningfully speaks to how we live out our relationships with God and each other. We are curious to explore where others are at spiritually, and what might be the opportunities for catalytic conversations leading to spiritual insight and growth.
Q. Why do you talk about “Scripture engagement,” and what is that?
A. The phrase “Scripture engagement” means interacting with God through His Scriptures, commonly known as the Bible. By meditating on the Scriptures, we seek to allow God to shape our individual and corporate identity, values, beliefs, desires, worldview, relationships, and behaviors according to what he has plainly said in Scripture. Although we are not perfect in this, we seek to be on the growing edge by letting him exercise his Lordship in our lives.
Q. Does Storyweavers Global offer training for conversations with people of other religious backgrounds?

Q. How can I get the Storyweavers training?
A. Storyweavers Global and its Training Partners provide various kinds of online and on-site training events, and new training events are always being developed. Please refer to our Events page or contact us if you would like to participate in a training event. Some training events are listed on the Events page for security reasons or because they are being provided for selected groups.
Q. How much does Storyweavers training cost?
A. We attempt to make all our training as low cost as possible. Most storyweaving training is provided for free, except where there are travel costs, printing costs, site expenses, etc, in which case we seek assistance for the training to be financially sustainable. For training events on-line or on-site in areas where participants generally have the ability to make online payments, we request that they make a donation to help defray the overall cost of the various training services that Storyweavers Global provides.
Q. How old is Storyweavers Global as an organization?
A. We became officially incorporated on October 24, 2017, after a full decade of working under the auspices of other organizations. The motive for forming Storyweavers Global as a new organization was to provide a dedicated platform for the next generation to take storyweaving forward into the future. Storyweavers Global Staff have cross cultural missions experience that ranges from just a few years to over 40 years.
Q. In what languages do you have training available?
A. Our in-house team is currently facilitating training in English and Spanish, but together with our Training Partners we have worked in over 40 languages.
Q. Do you take public speaking engagements regarding the work of Storyweavers Global?
A. Yes, but we tend to limit ourselves in this regard so that our focus stays on the core activities for which we exist. In other words, we are more interested in equipping people to be practitioners of biblical storyweaving than just talking about it. Please contact us for further information.

Q. What staffing needs and opportunities does Storyweavers Global have?
A. We are always looking for biblical storyweaving practitioners who sense the this ministry is what they are “wired for.” In addition to that, we would love to have more team members with specialized skills in various kinds of media production, social media management, and counseling. All Staff are required to be storyweaving practitioners who are involved in discipling others apart from whatever specialized service they might bring to the team. Q. I would like to be a storyweaver, but I would need to have some form of salary. How much do you pay?
A. Storyweavers Global is a volunteer-only organization. Biblical storyweaving is something that we do as our loving response to Christ’s command to make disciples in all nations. Our team members all come to this ministry with their own means of personal financial income. No one receives personal financial income from this ministry. If you are seeking a position with a ministry that would pay you a salary, then you need to look elsewhere.
