WHEN TROUBLE OVERWHELMS

When asked about the most important of all God’s commands, Jesus responded that it was to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, but then added that there is also a second to that: Love your neighbor as yourself. Then he told one of the most famous of all his parables: “The Good Samaritan” who reached across typical cultural boundaries to help a stranger in great distress. (Luke 10:25-37)

Throughout history, sacrificial compassion for the needy has characterized God’s true Kingdom people. During these times of great trouble in our world, storyweaver training facilitators are reaching out to the needy in their communities to assist them in practical ways such as by bringing groceries to them. We are not strictly a humanitarian relief agency nor a community development corporation, but our training facilitators are taking initiative to put into practice the importance of implementing storyweaving training in ways that help the needy both materially and spiritually.

In the following video, a Storyweavers Global Training Partner gives an example of compassion response during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the COVID pandemic is mostly history now, the needs arising from great poverty continue.

Storyweavers Global is receiving donations that are specified for Compassion Response, and these are being made available to known and trusted Storyweavers Global Training Facilitators to use for outreach to needy people in their communities. Funds that are received which are more than are currently needed will be held for future crises. We believe that financial stewardship is a sacred trust as well as a legal responsibility, so we require strict accountability for the use of these funds.

If you would like to collaborate with us in crisis response, please check out our donations page for further information. If you have any questions regarding our response to crises, please email us at: info@StoryweaversGlobal.org
