Why do you talk about “Scripture engagement” and what is that?

The phrase “Scripture engagement” means interacting with God through his Scriptures, commonly known as the Bible. By meditating on the Scriptures, we seek to allow God to shape our individual and corporate identity, values, beliefs, desires, worldview, relationships, and behaviors according to what he has plainly said in Scripture. Although we are not perfect in this, we seek to be on the growing edge by letting him exercise his sovereign Lordship in our lives.

How is biblical storyweaving “exploratory”?

It is very common for Christians to use one-size-fits-all presentations to share their faith, sometimes alongside of a diagnostic question or two. In some situations this can be helpful but, we have come to realize that in today's chaotic world with so many deeply hurting, misguided, and self-deceived people, we also need an open approach that enables us to explore with people their life experiences in a respectful, caring, and inquisitive manner so as to clarify where they are at spiritually. We seek to do this while also discovering how Scripture speaks into the issues of their lives. We constantly seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance for conversations that can lead to spiritual insight and growth. It is common for these biblical storyweaving conversations to take several sessions as compared to quickly running through a single presentation.

How can I get the Storyweavers training?

The Storyweavers Global team provides various kinds of online and on-site training events, and new training events are being developed. Please refer to our Upcoming Training Events page or contact us if you would like to participate in a training event that is not listed.

How much does Storyweavers training cost?

We attempt to make all our trainings as low cost as possible. Most storyweaving training is provided for free, except where there are travel costs, printing costs, site expenses, etc, in which case we seek assistance for the training to be financially sustainable. Our donors desire to see biblical storyweaving training made available for all who need it.

I would like to be a Storyweaver trainer, but I would need to have some form of salary. How much do you pay?

Storyweavers Global is a volunteer-only organization. Biblical storyweaving is something that we do as our loving response to Christ’s command to make disciples in all nations. Our team members come to this ministry with their own means of personal financial income. No one receives personal financial income from this ministry.
